About Oak Flats Physiotherapy

Oak Flats Physiotherapy is owned by local Physiotherapist Melinda McDowell who has a special interest in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.

Melinda has been a Physiotherapist in private practice for over 10 years; graduating from The University of Sydney in 2006. Her interest in Pelvic health started in 2010 after the birth of her first daughter- experiencing first hand the importance of the pelvic floor, pelvis and general core both throughout pregnancy and postnatally.

Her passion grew after she attended her first pelvic health professional development course in 2011 when she began treating pelvic health patients. She has since completed many professional development courses and her passion continues to grow in this rewarding field of physiotherapy.

Melinda enjoys treating all aspects of pelvic health including pelvic pain, incontinence of bladder and bowel, prolapse, pre and post operative care and pre and post natal care.

Melinda also continues to treat general musculoskeletal concerns.

Melinda is now a Mum of three beautiful girls who keep her on her toes. She loves to keep active and spending time with family and friends in our local area.
